Why pay by card?

Travel availability is subject to change and therefore we will book your flights, match ticket and hotel as soon as we have received your payment. Everything will be booked in your name, so please make your payment as soon as possible so we can guarantee your booking.

How much should I pay in additional costs?

There are no additional costs. The prices shown on our website include surcharges, taxes and reservation fees. We always aim to keep our prices as simple and easy to understand as possible. It is always clear what the price is for a standard hotel and standard ticket for a football match. You can make additional upgrades to our packages and these are listed on our website.

Are all prices inclusive of VAT?

Yes, all our prices include VAT.

How can I pay for the trip?

During checkout you choose your payment method. For football travel and private travel, we offer Klarna’s world-renowned payment system, which is both secure and reliable. Your credit card payment is made via a secure connection to a secure online banking system provided by Klarna.

Is it safe to pay online at gothiasportstravel.com?

Yes, it is very safe.

My trip is a gift, which address should I fill in?

Fill in the address of the person paying for the trip. All communications and confirmations will be sent to the email address you provided at the time of booking.

Is it possible to call your office to make a reservation?

We are an internet-based travel agency, but you can of course call us for free. You can reach us on +46 73 717 50 47. We are open on weekdays between 08:30 – 17:00. Feel free to call us for a personalised service.

How do you handle personal data?

We use your personal data for internal use. We also do not share the information with third parties. You can read more on our Privacy Policy and Collection of personal data. However, we will pass on your name to our various suppliers, but your personal data will only be used for communication relating to your booking.

Where can I buy football-only tickets?

We of course sell official match tickets to all the major teams and leagues around Europe. We offer football tickets to the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, World Cup, European Championship and more.

Can you send me a brochure?

We do not offer printed brochures that we can send by post, mainly because of our environmental efforts. Instead, we have on our website all our trips and packages that we offer. By not sending brochures, we can instead keep costs down and offer as cheap football trips as possible.

When will I receive my football tickets?

We will send you your travel documents in PDF format about 2 weeks before departure. The documents include airline tickets (e-tickets), hotel vouchers and tickets (e-tickets) We deliver the tickets for your event in three different ways, either to the hotel when you arrive, or by post or email with the e-ticket. Contact us to find out the exact delivery method for your trip. If you as a traveller have not received the match tickets by 11:00 on the day of the match, you must call us at Gothia Sportstravel. We are not responsible for tickets that have not been delivered if the traveller has not called us and informed us of this.

What happens once I have completed my booking?

Approximately one week after booking, you will receive your confirmation and invoice for the registration fee. If you do not choose to pay your entire trip directly, you will receive all necessary travel documents and programmes. When booking 2 months or closer to the departure date, your final invoice will be sent upon booking. After the final payment, the traveller will receive all travel documents and programmes. The final payment for your trip must be received by Gothia Sportstravel no later than 6 weeks before departure. In the event of an immediate final payment, travellers will receive all travel documents and programmes (with certain exceptions, the travel document will be sent at the same time as your booking confirmation). The traveller is obliged to check the booking confirmation and all travel documents for any inaccuracies and point them out. Oral promises must be included in the travel confirmation in order to be invoked.

Booked tickets for events (hockey matches, concerts, football matches, musicals, Formula 1 etc) are non-refundable. In Europe, football matches are normally played on Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday. Gothia Sportstravel therefore recommends our travellers to travel out on Friday and home on Monday. For matches on weekdays contact us for more information. Match day can be changed in Europe at short notice. It is the traveller’s responsibility to check any changes to the day and time of the game before departure. Gothia Sportstravel has no liability for refunds if guests are turned away from the stadium due to recommending travellers not to wear scarves or match shirts in the stadium belonging to the away team.

It is the traveller’s own responsibility to be familiar with the laws/rules that apply to the event in question. Seats in the stadium, for most matches we can only guarantee that the seat tickets are distributed in pairs. Ask at the time of booking if you want to know exactly what applies to the match you are going to see.

Why can prices be adjusted on your website?

This is because certain suppliers such as hotels, clubs and airlines raise and lower their prices. Prices usually go up the closer we get to the departure date. We recommend booking well in advance of your departure to get the best price ever.

What is not included in my football trip?

In our football trips, travel insurance, transfers and your personal expenses are not included in the price. Travel insurance can be taken out with us if desired. In some cases, we can arrange private transfers to and from the airport to your hotel. Contact us if this is something you want to arrange.

Is the transfer included in the price?

Our football trips and private trips do not include transfers. If you want to book a private transfer, you must contact us. In your travel documents you will receive information on how to get from the airport to your hotel. You will also receive information on how to get from your hotel to the stadium.

Can I be sure that my package holiday is available to book?

All football trips you see on our website are available for booking.
Responsibilities of the Client

The organiser/leader/trainer of the trip is responsible for ensuring that all information and rules about the trip reach all participants and travellers before departure.

Can tickets be delivered to my home address in Sweden?

It is not possible to deliver football tickets to your home. This is mainly because the tickets are sent out shortly before the departure date and there is no time to ensure that the tickets are delivered to your home in time. You will have the tickets delivered directly to your hotel. The tickets are delivered by courier to your hotel. The hotel staff will sign that they have received the tickets, and keep them in a safe place at the reception until you collect them. You collect the match tickets on the day of the match or the day of arrival.

Will I and my fellow travellers be able to sit together in the stadium?

The football match is of course the highlight of the football trip and getting to sit together is of course we understand that you want to do. We therefore offer a 100% seat guarantee, where we can guarantee that you always get to sit at least 2 people together in the arena.

Air travel

Will we receive paper tickets for the flight at home?

No, all the airlines we work with use electronic tickets. You will receive a reference number and instructions that you will need to check in at the airport. This is the only thing you will need to board your flight for the football trip.

Travel documents (sports travel)

When will I receive my travel documents?

Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation. You will receive your travel documents no later than 7 days before your departure date.

What information is contained in the travel documents?

The travel documents include a comprehensive overview of your trip, including details of your hotel, flights and match tickets. If there are any uncertainties in your travel documents, you are of course welcome to contact us.

Hotel

Which hotel will we stay at during the football trip?

In many of our football holidays you can choose which hotel you will stay in. Our hotels on football trips are centrally located as 3* and 4** Hotels in the centre of the cities. In your travel documents you will also find more information about the hotel where you will stay during the football trip.

Does the football trip include breakfast?

Usually our football trips are exclusive of breakfast, but several of the hotels we work with include breakfast at no extra cost. In these cases, breakfast is included in your sports trip. Check your travel documents for an exact confirmation.

What type of room will I live in?

You can choose the size of the room you want to stay in. Our most common room types are Twin (two single beds), Double (one double bed), Triple or Single.

Amendments

Can the match date be changed?

The date of the match may change shortly due to the leagues choosing to change the date of the match, usually due to European Cup games or TV schedules. It is up to the traveller to keep track of date changes.
