For all trips with Gothia Sportstravel VW AB, the general travel conditions of the Swedish Consumer Agency apply. You can read the industry agreement here (shown as a PDF). The travel conditions below are special travel conditions for Gothia Sportstravel VW AB and replace the corresponding provisions in the general travel conditions from the Swedish Consumer Agency.
Different travel conditions for different types of travel apply to Gothia Sportstravel.
Travel Conditions Ice Hockey/Football/Formula 1 trips/other trips
Approximately one week after booking, you will receive your confirmation and invoice for the registration fee. If you do not choose to pay your entire trip directly, you will receive all necessary travel documents and programs. When booking 2 months or closer to the departure date, your final invoice will be sent upon booking. After the final payment, the traveler receives all travel documents and programs. The final payment for your trip must be received by Gothia Sportstravel no later than 6 weeks before departure. In the event of an immediate final payment, travelers will receive all travel documents and programs (with certain exceptions, the travel document will be sent at the same time as your booking confirmation). The passenger is obliged to check the booking confirmation and all travel documents for any inaccuracies and point them out. Oral promises must be included in the travel confirmation in order to be invoked.
Flight
The booking is binding for both parties as soon as it has been confirmed by Gothia Sportstravel. Normally, it is not possible to rebook or change the name of your airline ticket and in most cases it is not possible to get a refund in case of cancellation. Please contact us for further information on what applies to your flight. Flight numbers and departure times are subject to change and you should carefully review the travel documents you have received. The flight can only be used on the dates and times specified in the ticket. Gothia Sportstravel is not responsible for any delays in booked connections to your departure point on the package tour. Gothia Sportstravel is not responsible for any air transportation not included in the package tour. Each airline has its own rules and it is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain knowledge of these. We reserve the right to change the luggage rules.
Events Tickets
Booked tickets for events (hockey matches, concerts, football matches, musicals, Formula 1 etc) are non-refundable. In Europe, Football matches are normally played on Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday. Gothia Sportstravel therefore recommends our travelers to travel out on Friday and home on Monday. For matches on weekdays contact us for more information. The match day can be changed in Europe at short notice. It is the traveler’s responsibility to check any changes to the game day and time before departure.
Gothia Sportstravel is not responsible for refunds if guests are turned away from the stadium due to recommending travelers not to wear scarves or match shirts in the stadium belonging to the away team. It is the traveler’s own responsibility to be familiar with the laws/rules that apply to the event in question.
Seats in the stadium, for most of the matches we can only guarantee that the seat tickets are distributed in pairs. Ask at the time of booking if you want to know exactly what applies to the match you are going to see.
We deliver the tickets for your event in three different ways, either to your hotel when you arrive, or by post or email with the e-ticket. Contact us to find out the exact delivery method for your trip. If you as a traveler have not received the match tickets by 11:00 on the day of the match, you must call us at Gothia Sportstravel. We are not responsible for tickets that have not been delivered if the traveler has not called us and informed us of this.
Change of adress
In case of any change of address, including e-mail address and change of mobile number, Gothia Sportstravel must be notified immediately. This is so that we can notify you of any timetable changes or other important information prior to the trip.
Cancellation
The booking is binding once we have confirmed it either in writing or verbally. In most cases, we issue the flight ticket directly at the time of booking after verbal approval from the customer. The cancellation cost of the airline ticket is usually 100%. Purchased event tickets are non-refundable. If you want to know exactly what applies to your trip, ask us before ordering.
Complaints
In the event of a complaint, Gothia Sportstravel must be notified no later than 15 days after your return. To avoid misunderstandings between the parties, we prefer that your complaint be submitted in writing to Gothia Sportstravel by post or email. If a complaint is received later than 15 days after the end of the trip, the case will not be processed. The traveler is not entitled to damages if the organizer shows that the error is due to obstacles beyond the organizer’s control that it cannot reasonably be expected to have anticipated when the agreement was entered into and the consequences could not reasonably be overcome or avoided.
Passports and possible visas
Passengers are required to carry a passport when traveling outside their home country.
It is the traveler’s responsibility to have a valid passport and any visa documents.
Gothia Sportstravel cannot help with visa applications.
Gothia Sportstravel does not take responsibility if the traveler is denied a visa (we recommend applying for a visa before booking). Gothia Sportstravel is also not responsible if any traveler is denied entry to any country.
Minimum number of participants
In the case of trips where we reserve for a minimum number of participants (indicated in this case on the booking confirmation), we reserve the right to cancel the trip if the number of participants cannot be reached. The trip can be carried out anyway in some cases, but then at an increased cost (decision in consultation with you as a traveler) If the new price is not accepted, the traveler has the right to cancel his trip, which may add cancellation costs.
18 years old to order
If you are under the age of 18, you may not book a trip. If you are younger than 18 years and want to book a trip, the guardian must contact Gothia Sportstravel for a discussion about suitability and a written certificate must be provided.
Typing and printing errors
We reserve the right to make typographical and printing errors and to make changes after the text and materials have been printed or published on the internet.
Other
Gothia Sportstravel reserves the right to make any changes to the itinerary or prices due to circumstances beyond Gothia Sportstravel’s control, such as increased transport costs, currency fluctuations, road and/or airport charges, changes in the number of travelers, natural disasters, force majeure, etc.
Travel Conditions Training Camps
Booked Training Camps
Within 10 days you will receive your booking confirmation together with an invoice. A registration fee/part payment of 30% of the total amount of the trip must be received by us within 10 days of receiving the booking confirmation. When we receive the registration fee/part payment, you are definitely booked. Final payment is made 6 weeks before departure.
Cancellation protection
Trips costing less than 200 Euro, 40 Euro/person (groups min 10 persons)
Trips costing over 200 Euro, 50Euro/person (groups min 10 persons)
Trips costing over 500 Euro, 75 Euro/person (groups min 10 persons)
Cancellation cover is taken out when you book your trip, as an extra security measure. Cancellation cover applies in the event of cancellation due to acute illness, accident or death affecting the individual traveler himself or herself or spouse, child, parent or sibling. For the cover to be valid, a valid medical certificate must be submitted to us no later than 10 days after return. To take out cancellation cover, you must either take out cover for the whole group at the same time at the time of booking, or if you want to take out cover for a certain number of travelers, you must name these travelers at the time of booking. If these conditions are met, the price of the trip will be refunded – except for a handling fee we charge 35 Euro/person and the fee for cancellation protection.
Special requests
For special requests, it is important to let us know well in advance of departure. When booking the trip, it is important to let us know about any dietary requirements such as vegetarian or gluten.
Cancellation
The cost of cancellation earlier than 60 days before departure is 50 Euro per participant. Cancellation between 75 and 40 days before departure, your registration fee/part payment is forfeited. In case of cancellation between 40 days and 25 days before departure, 75% of the total price of the trip will be refunded. For cancellations later than 25 days before departure, there is no refund.

Travel by Bus
The price of the bus trip is based on a minimum number of passengers per bus. If the minimum number of passengers is not met, the price for all travelers will be affected. Gothia Sportstravel VW AB disclaims all responsibility for any luggage and valuables left behind at the destination, in the bus, on the boat, on the plane or at the pick-up point. Gothia Sportstravel VW AB is entitled to change the itinerary/route, mode of travel and/or destination close to departure due to circumstances beyond Gothia Sportstravel’s control, such as fully booked ferries, insufficient number of travelers and force majeure.
Responsibility of the Client
The organizer/leader/trainer of the trip is responsible for ensuring that all information and rules about the trip reach all participants and travelers before departure.
Travel insurance
Check that your insurance is valid on the trip. Gothia Sportstravel VW AB and the respective transport companies and hotels are exempt from all liability for damage and injury that may occur during your trip. Please note that when playing matches abroad, your local Sports Confederation’s insurance does not apply in full. Different associations have different agreements with Folksam. Check this with your office so that your players are insured for, for example, acute illness, injuries, repatriation at camps / cups abroad.
Travel documents
In the last 6 weeks before departure, we and our partners work on the preparation of your training camp. Sometimes it can take some time before the program is completely ready. As soon as we have completed and received the program, it will be sent to you together with any other travel documents such as ferry and airline tickets (provided that the final payment has been made). All this normally takes place about 1 week before departure.
Air travel
Gothia Sportstravel VW AB is not responsible for the air transportation included in the package tour. Each individual airline has its own rules regarding delays of luggage and passengers. The airlines also have no responsibility for the rest of the package tour. The flight can only be used on the dates and times specified in the ticket. Flight numbers and departure times are subject to change, so please check the travel documents you have received carefully. Contact the respective airline for more information. Gothia Sportstravel is not responsible for delays for booked connections to the departure point of the package tour.
The flight booking is binding for both parties as soon as it has been confirmed by Gothia Sportstravel VW AB. Normally it is not possible to rebook or change the name of the flight tickets. Flight tickets that are confirmed and booked are non-cancellable and cannot be refunded. Please contact us for exact information about your flight.
Training facilities
All our training facilities at our sites are approved by us. In the event of bad weather (e.g. heavy rain, snow, frost in the ground), it may not be possible to use the facilities. The training may then be moved to an alternative facility and if it is not possible to use any facility / facilities, it is considered force majeure and compensation for this is not paid. Transfers to alternative training facilities are not included in the price of the trip and are paid for by the group.
Friendly Games
We always do our best to arrange training matches for the teams that want it. In some cases, due to league play in the locality, it can be difficult to find teams that want to participate, or difficult to find the right opponent. In some cases, the training matches may be played elsewhere and then it may be necessary to arrange bus transport to get to the training match and this is not included in the price of the trip. In Italy, Spain and Portugal, the visiting team is usually responsible for the cost of referees and pitch rent. Gothia Sportstravel is not responsible for any referee costs.
General Provisions and Travel Guarantee
We have filed a travel guarantee with Kammarkollegiet according to the Swedish Travel Guarantee Act and the trips are carried out according to general travel conditions for package tours. We reserve ourselves for force majeure and printing errors and cancellation of a trip that does not get enough participants, as well as other causes beyond our control that prevent or complicate the implementation of the trip. We also reserve ourselves for price increases beyond our own control.
Visas & passports
Alla medborgare som reser utanför sitt hemlandskall ha sitt pass med sig. Medborgare bör undersöka med respektive ambassad om de behöver visum för vistelse eller genomresande i de aktuella länder. Ansökning om visum kan ta lång tid och bör därför göras omgående. Att ha ett giltigt pass- och visumhandlingar är resenärens egna ansvar. Gothia Sportstravel fråntar sig allt ansvar om resenären blir nekad inträde i det berörda landet.
Reservations/Claims
Gothia Sportstravel VW AB and all our partners reserve the right to make adjustments to the programs if necessary. We take no responsibility for e.g. the behavior of opponents at training matches, the referee’s interpretation of rules. Complaints / complaints must be received by us no later than 15 days after returning home. Complaints received later than 15 days after returning home will be processed.
